The Workers Party is here to represent the working class. Unemployed workers, retired workers, disabled workers are all very welcome to join.
If you need to earn wages to survive, you are a member of the working class. If you are unable to work because of a disability, you are a member of the working class.
If you live and work in Britain, no matter where you are from, you are a member of the British working class.
3. How do our branches organise?
The Workers Party is organised across Britain. Our National Organiser is Shanaz Siddique based out of our north west regional offices in Rochdale. Shanaz has a team of Regional Organisers across the country, and local Branches elect Secretaries and officials to carry out local work.
In addition to geographical organisation, we have some workplace groups, for NHS workers for instance, and campaign groups made up of trade unionists, or peace activists. A number of volunteer work teams run all the party social media and political output, from graphic design to producing regular talkshows, films and overseeing our election work. All members are encouraged to participate in any of these groups.
4. How about standing for elections?
The Workers Party has a candidate selection process recorded in our Rule Book and overseen by head office. We also publish Guidance for Candidates internally. Applications to stand in May 2026 local elections are currently OPEN at this link.
5. Where can I read your Privacy Policy?
