Momosi Umolu

Harrow Road Ward

Westminster

" I joined George Galloway in the Workers Party because Britain needs strong social justice policy campaigners. I’m a journalist; a black African grandma raised by an Indian dad and a German mum. I’ve lived in Westminster since 1975. Harrow road ward, like my background is a cultural melting pot. As a grass root politician, I will represent the interests of all vulnerable people in my community that must at all cost be protected and cared for, irrespective of age, ethnicity, disability, cultural beliefs and/or gender identity."

Qasim Tahir

Gascoigne Ward

Barking and Dagenham

" I am standing for election because I am an ordinary working person who understands the real pressures facing our community. Our borough is made up of hardworking, working-class families who are struggling with rising rents, soaring bills, insecure work, and the ongoing cost of living crisis. I want to be a strong voice on the council for ordinary residents — standing up for fair housing, affordable living, and decent public services — and to make sure Barking and Dagenham is run in the interests of the people who live and work here, not those at the top "

Syed Saqib Alam

Bensham Manor Ward

Croydon North

"I am proud to be the Workers Party candidate for Bensham Manor Ward. After 15 years as a Labour Party member, I made the difficult decision to leave. I could no longer support an organisation whose internal politics and, at times, racist approach had strayed so far from the principles of justice and equality.
That is why I am now standing with The Workers Party under the leadership of George Galloway. I believe our agenda is the true requirement for our country—to fix a biased system, end bad practices, and build a just and harmonious society for all.
Together, we will fight for the change that Bensham Manor deserves."

Muhammad Zeeshan Akhtar

Stonebridge Ward

Brent

"I am standing in the London Borough of Brent because working people here have been ignored for far too long.  For years, Labour has failed to clean our streets, control rising council tax, tackle anti-social behaviour, provide safe and secure housing, and support victims of domestic violence. Instead of investing into our communities, Labour and Conservatives have spent billions getting involved in conflicts.
If elected, I will your advocate for clean streets, fair taxation, safe homes, stronger community safety, and properly funded support for survivors of domestic violence, with real access to emergency accommodation and coordinated services that actually work."

Musa Ali

Upton Lea Ward

Slough

"I will be standing as an anti-austerity candidate in Slough's Upton Lea Ward. Slough has been let down by the three main political parties whose policies of austerity and weak economic leadership have bankrupted councils like ours and made hard pressed, working class people poorer with less money in their pockets. If elected, I will be a strong advocate for Slough. I will hold the council administration and the main stream parties to account over their inability to restore key services (such as the weekly bin collections) whilst still having the money to fund war after war overseas."

Khalid Kazim

Upton Lea Ward

Slough

" Slough Borough Council has suffered decades of financial mismanagement, culminating in bankruptcy in recent times. It is known for poor traffic management, bad financial planning and allegedly unprofessional use funds.

It's high time that it is governed by a group of people who will wholeheartedly revamp its lost standing as a town where industry had thrived, centre of academic excellence, and a commercially vibrant town. I have found workers party is an excellent opportunity for the country and particularly for our town to turn it around under the great leadership of George Galloway."
