With speeches from Yvonne Ridley, as well as other Workers Party candidates and representatives of local campaigns and community groups. Keynote speaker: George Galloway.
Venue is very close to Govan subway station and on street parking is available. The institute is wheelchair accessible and child friendly.
The Workers Party will be fielding candidates across Scotland this May. Here's what we stand for:
1. Scottish Referendum Now
- The SNP has completely failed to deliver on a second referendum. We will fight for a referendum within 12 months with international recognition and support Scotland's right to decide its own future.
2. Working-Class Politics and a People's Manifesto
- The Workers Party believes in an economy for working-class people. From reindustrialisation to cheap, high-quality housing for all, our Ten-Point Programme is about delivering real change for workers.
3. An End to Imperialist War
- From Ukraine to Iran, our party stands against any involvement in foreign wars led by the United States or its allies. We campaign for an immediate exit from NATO.
4. A One State Palestine
- From the river to the sea, we campaign for a single unitary state in Palestine where people of all faiths are treated equal. We support full right of return for all Palestinian refugees.
